Lexus Unveils TZ, an All-New Three-Row Battery Electric SUV

New all-electric luxury SUV introduces Lexus’ “Driving Lounge” concept with three-row comfort, refined performance and sustainable design

Lexus (TYO: 7203) has unveiled the TZ, an all-new three-row battery electric SUV designed to expand the brand’s luxury electrified vehicle lineup with a focus on comfort, performance and sustainability.

Developed under the concept of “Driving Lounge,” the Lexus TZ is designed to provide a relaxing, lounge-like cabin experience while delivering the smooth and responsive driving performance expected from a battery electric vehicle. The model represents Lexus’ continued commitment to innovation, carbon neutrality and the creation of new mobility experiences for customers.

The TZ is built around Lexus’ new model theme, “DISCOVER LIMITLESS,” which reflects the vehicle’s focus on supporting a wide range of lifestyles, family needs and travel experiences. With its three-row layout, spacious cabin and quiet ride, the TZ is designed for customers seeking both premium comfort and practical versatility.

A dedicated BEV platform supports an open interior layout, allowing passengers in all rows to experience comfort and relaxation. Lexus has also enhanced cabin quietness, ride comfort and acoustic quality to create a more natural and calming environment for occupants.

The TZ’s exterior design combines the strong presence of an SUV with aerodynamic efficiency. Lexus says the vehicle achieves top-class aerodynamic performance among Lexus SUVs, helping improve driving range while maintaining a distinctive and powerful design identity.

Inside the cabin, Lexus uses sustainable materials, including Forged Bamboo, a decorative material made from Shikoku bamboo. The use of recycled aluminum and other circular development practices reflects the company’s broader goal of reducing environmental impact across vehicle production and design.

The TZ also introduces advanced features designed to improve both passenger comfort and driver engagement. These include a rear comfort mode that prioritizes second- and third-row ride quality, as well as interactive manual drive technology intended to create a more engaging connection between the driver and vehicle.

With the launch of the TZ, Lexus continues to advance its electrification strategy while delivering a new luxury SUV experience centered on quietness, comfort, sustainability and driving enjoyment.
