Plymouth, MA
AHOY, the deep-tech infrastructure company building the operational layer for Real-World AI, today announced a global partnership with Web Summit across its 2026 event series, beginning with Web Summit Vancouver (May 11–14) and continuing through Web Summit Rio de Janeiro and Web Summit Lisbon. The multi-market collaboration secures AHOY Platinum partner status across the Web Summit platform and provides turnkey exhibit space, executive programming, CIS roundtables and partner-grade outreach opportunities in each host city as part of AHOY’s broader expansion across the Americas, Europe and the Global South.
AHOY’s presence at Web Summit Vancouver will feature a turnkey booth (0303-21) for live demos of its Real-World AI stack, including perception, data intelligence and its audio toolkit. Along with this, CEO Jamil Shinawi will appear in a fireside conversation on May 12th, at the Corporate Innovation Summit stage titled “The Cloud Ceiling: Why the Infrastructure That Enabled AI Is Now Holding It Back,” joined by Mohannad El-Barachi of Wrk.com (an AHOY company). AHOY will additionally participate in the CIS roundtable, an executive forum convening operators, policymakers and systems integrators to discuss procurement, sovereign deployments and pilot frameworks, and will offer limited pre-booked private briefings and technical deep dives for investors, partners and CTOs.
AHOY’s global rollout strategy leverages the Web Summit series as a coordinated launch platform to engage regional ecosystems across the Americas, Europe and the Global South, with phased activations in Vancouver, Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon. Each market activation pairs public demonstrations of on-device perception, audio sensing and the audio toolkit commerce workflows with discrete partner enablement tracks: targeted telco and channel partner outreach to secure reseller and bundling agreements; operator workshops to define sovereign deployment patterns and procurement templates; and localized pilot programs with merchants, municipalities and service providers to validate operational metrics in situ.
“Web Summit is an important forum to show that AI must move beyond description to dependable action,” said Jamil Shinawi, CEO and founder of AHOY. “By partnering across Vancouver, Rio and Lisbon we can engage diverse regional ecosystems and demonstrate how sovereign, architectures deliver auditable, low-latency control for the systems that actually keep cities and infrastructure running.”
“Web Summit brings together the builders shaping the future of technology, and AHOY’s work on operational, sovereign AI is exactly the kind of practical innovation our global audience needs to see,” said Tim Kiernan, Global Partnerships Manager at Web Summit.
